COUNSELLING SERVICES CONSENT

I agree to the following policy:*

Policy Description

The W̱SB Counselling Team is pleased to provide counselling for students. Our approach to counselling is grounded in Indigenous culture and is strength-based and trauma-informed.
Furthermore, we value the importance of family, community and culture and recognize that healing is a holistic process that includes mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. We offer practicum opportunities for students from the University of Victoria's Child and Youth Care and Counselling Psychology programs and City University's Counselling program under the supervision of the W̱SB counsellors. The diversity of our team enables us to best support children in reflection of their needs and goals.
Our team strives to be in alignment with the W̱SB's philosophical statement of creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive learning environment.
This consent is valid as long as your child attends the school. However, you may stop services for your child at any time.
