W̱SÁNEĆ College serves the W̱SÁNEĆ communities by offering accessible, community-based programs that reflect our traditions, values, and language to learners aged 15 and up. From early literacy and Adult Dogwood to post-secondary prerequisites and SENĆOŦEN language classes, we work to prepare students for higher education, vocational training, and life-long success.
We also support learners with services such as onsite childcare, hot lunches, and the inclusion of Elders and SENĆOŦEN language wherever possible. Our mission is to honour each learner’s unique experiences and strengths while creating opportunities that build self-sufficiency, connection, and success.
WSÁNEĆ College is community-led, -owned, and operated and upholds connections to our ancestral homelands and waters, our SENĆOŦEN language, our traditional ways and to one another as WSÁNEĆ people.
We aspire that through these connections:
- Students are empowered and fully supported in their educational journeys and successful in any educational path of their choosing.
- WSÁNEĆ members teach, support and mentor the next generation of learners.
- The WSÁNEĆ College creates and delivers localized curriculum and grants credentials at the post-secondary level.
